Step Out in Fashion with our 2017 Spring Style Guide

Spring 2017 Style Guide - woman on bicycle with flowers in basket

After months of being bundled up from head to toe, there’s nothing like shedding layers and stepping into the sunshine. So, what’s in style this spring? Here’s what took center stage at New York Fashion Week — statement-making slogans, bell sleeves, romantic frills, shoulder-bearing 80s glam and rainbow-bright stripes. Plus, spring florals (we know, groundbreaking) are getting a tropical twist. The common theme? Being unabashedly feminine. Get ready to blossom, style queens.

A new haircut and style can totally redefine your look. Plus, it’s a great confidence booster. This spring’s hottest trends are simple, classic and effortless. Expect natural texture to be in full-force with modern twists on old favorites and a streamlined update on bobs-to-lobs.

A mid-length textured cut is effortlessly cool, just pump up your natural locks with a texturizing product. Bardot bangs are soft, fringey and perfect for face-framing with a chic ’70s vibe. The slicked-back bob is back, and great for on-the-go. Just blow dry the top and tuck the rest behind your ears. Some things never go out of style, like long & sleek middle-parted hair, a polished update on the hippie-esque 60s look. Lastly, the hair flip for an effortless but voluminous look. Blow dry your roots to one side, then flip and spray.

This year’s beauty trends are less about ‘what’s in’ and more about ‘what’s you.’ That said, there were still some running themes on the runway. We mentioned that 80s glam is back in style, so it’s no surprise that neon-hued eyes and bold, glittery lips are on-trend this season. This year’s update on technicolor eyes? Under-lid makeup. Add sweeps of electric shadow or eyeliner to make your everyday look pop.

While eyes and lips are full of color, nails and skin are pared down for a naturally radiant vibe. The main takeaway is that spring beauty is infused with loads of personality—which means the possibilities are as boundless and unique as you are.
