Reverse lines and wrinkles. In real time.

Fine lines, frown lines, how-did-those-get-there lines. Whatever you call them, there’s a solution at Ideal Image. Botox® smooths wrinkles on the forehead, treats the lines in between the eyes, improves the appearance of crow’s feet, relaxes the look of neck bands — and can target bunny lines, chin dimples, and create a lip flip too.

This minimally invasive treatment requires zero downtime, so you can come in for a quick treatment on your lunch break. And our nurses and physician assistants are experts in administering it properly. They use a very fine needle to inject Botox® into the facial muscles, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

What to Expect

The first step is your free consultation.

If you’re interested in injectables, the consultant will sit with you while you look in the mirror and point out the spots that you want to tweak. Then we’ll discuss options specific to your needs.

Before Treatment

You should make Botox® appointments at least two weeks in advance of any special events.

You’ll be asked to avoid alcohol and caffeine a week before treatments.

You’ll be asked to confirm it has been at least two weeks since your last facial or peel.

You should take Botox images before treatment to see the most visible results.

During Treatment

Treatments usually last around 20-45 minutes.

Expect a mild pinch as the treatment gets underway.

Depending on the number of treatments, you can expect three to ten injections per treatment area.

After Treatment

It takes approximately two hours for the treatment to take effect.

You’ll need to wait two weeks before any other cosmetic procedures.

You should avoid heavy exercise and heat for at least three days.

You should take Botox images after treatment to track the effects of your Botox.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Botox®?

  • Botox® Cosmetic is a prescription product that temporarily improves the appearance of frown lines between the brows, crow’s feet, forehead lines, neck bands, bunny lines, chin dimples, and can be used to create a lip flip in adults. Unlike a face lift or other kind of invasive facial rejuvenation procedure, this treatment takes minutes and requires zero downtime.

How does Botox® work?

  • Using a very fine needle, Botox® is injected into the facial muscles that are responsible for unsightly wrinkles and fine lines and relaxes the muscles. The ingredients in Botox® block the signal from the nerve to the muscle, and therefore reduce its ability to contract and form unsightly wrinkles.

How much does Botox® cost?

  • The cost depends on you and your needs. Everyone's a little bit different. Our consultants will work with you to customize a treatment package based on exactly what your needs are.

How long does Botox® usually last?

  • The effects of the treatment can last anywhere from 3-6 months. Many factors can influence how long the effects last. As the product wears off, muscle action returns gradually, and the previously treated lines and wrinkles may begin to reappear, and you may need another treatment. Some of the factors that may shorten or lengthen the effects are: your age, sun damage, condition of skin, facial structure and expressions, diet, and your past experiences with Botox® and other wrinkle relaxers.

When will I see results?

  • You may begin to notice Botox® results within 72 hours with the maximum effect visible at 14 days. Results may vary.
We recommend taking Botox images before and after to see visible effects.

Is Botox® safe?

  • Botox® Cosmetic is the most widely researched and studied injectable wrinkle relaxer on the market. Since 2001, it has been approved for cosmetic use in the United States and to date, has the most published studies supporting its safety and effectiveness. Botox® injections are safe when performed by an experienced provider, such as the medical and nursing professionals at Ideal Image. For a complete list of potential side effects, please visit the Allergan website.

Who should not receive Botox®?

  • While most people aged 18 to 65 are excellent candidates for Botox® and wrinkle relaxers, you should not use Botox® if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a skin infection or other condition in the area to be treated, are allergic to any ingredients in Botox®, Dysport, or any other botulinum toxin brand, have had a facial surgery, have difficulty swallowing, or have weakness in your forehead muscles. If you have any concerns as to whether or not you may be a good candidate, one of our consultants will be happy to answer any questions you may have. With any medical procedures, it is best to discuss the procedure with your doctor before starting treatment.
