The beginning of summer initiates the start of peak wedding season. . If you’re getting ready to walk down the aisle or if your mailbox is filling with wedding invites, you know you need to look your best. So, you swap your third coffee for a green smoothie and you fit in another yoga or spinning class into your week. But what about your beauty routine? We’ve got you covered.

One month before

Want to arrive at the wedding and leave everyone in awe? You’ll need to start prepping up to one month beforehand. This is especially true if you’re interested in getting injectables, including Botox®, Dysport® or Juvéderm®, as you’ll need a few days to see the effects.

“Botox® takes four to five days to kick in, and you wouldn’t want to discover one day before the wedding that a brow has dropped or elevated unattractively,” Dr. Yael Halaas told Shape magazine.

Botox® can relax wrinkles and make you look years younger. If you’re looking to plump up your lips, you can try Juvéderm®.

Two weeks before

All the smiling you’ll do during a wedding will be captured for eternity by the photographer, along with everyone with a smartphone, so you’ll want to make sure your pearly whites are gleaming. While you can choose a whitening toothpaste, say goodbye to red wine – at least until after the wedding – you can also add whitening strips to your routine. Why start two weeks out? Because you want to avoid gum irritation.

Last minute whitening “is generally not recommended in case of accidental exposure to the gum tissue, which can cause gingival irritation,” Dr. Michael Apa told Brides magazine.

Two days before

Even if you’re not the bride, the last few days before the wedding can be stressful. So make some time to grab a girlfriend and relax into a massage chair to get a pedicure. You can choose a bright, summery color that will stand out even after the wedding. Your feet will look smooth and soft – perfect for when you slip into strappy heels – and you’ll be able to take an hour and zen out.

Make sure to also pay a visit to a brow specialist. They’ll be able to shape your brows to highlight your eyes while also nabbing any stray hairs. There may be a little bit of redness – but never fear! You can pop two ibuprofen to keep swelling and redness to a minimum.

Before you know it, the big day will arrive! Follow these tips and you’ll look stunning. Don’t sweat the small stuff, sip a glass of champagne and enjoy being surrounded by those you love. And don’t forget to smile for the camera!
